Mondia Expands Direct Carrier Billing Connections to Reach Over 1 Billion Subscribers

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 10 April 2019: Mondia, a leading private mobile technology company, announced today the signing of agreements with six new mobile operators across several emerging markets, bringing the reach of digital services to over 1 billion subscribers. Mondia’s latest integrations bring the total to thirty-nine operators worldwide.

Mondia Pay, a division of Mondia, allows for the technical integration of providing digital merchant services to operator subscribers, as well as the collection of payment through its DCB (Direct Carrier Billing) service or via mobile money such as M-Pesa in East Africa. M-Pesa is a fast, secure and convenient way to transact on mobile, and is fully integrated with Mondia’s solutions.

“We are positioned as a leader in the field of frictionless mobile payments. Together our expertise in customer acquisition marketing and anti-fraud solutions makes Mondia a provider of choice to both merchants and operators” says Simon Rahmann, Mondia’s Chief Strategy & Growth Officer.

Next quarter will see the launch of DCB services to a range of new territories beyond the current footprint of Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Sixteen new operators will benefit from partnering with Mondia, bringing a wide range of services to market. Following Mondia’s reach expansion into APAC and the company’s recent strategic agreement with Apigate, many of these sixteen new operators are anticipated to be from the APAC region. Indonesia, Malaysia and various others are expected to see Mondia’s services integrated for the first time in their market.
